What’s In a Name?

There are many things to consider when starting a massage business, and none are more important than the name.

A name can either help project your “brand” and make you stand out from other therapists and massage businesses, or it can add to you getting lost in the shuffle, or worse yet, confuse your potential clients (as is too often the case).

Not sure of the difference? Here is an article that has examples of both good and bad business names, as well as some things to watch out for.

One important thing when starting a massage business in deciding which type of services to offer in home, in your office, in patient office
THen to save money I suggest online scheduling
Then I suggest advertising in referral services network like http://www.servemehere.com

I agree.. selecting the right name is important stuff. In the massage business there are so many “kneads” it’s kind of absurd.

What’s in a name?…so true! There is also the battle between choosing a name that is a ‘clever’ business choice for marketing purposes, and choosing a name that represents your spirit and vision.

I agree with this post…. That takes time to build a very reputable massage therapy business in your area…..
building a dynasty doesn’t necessary mean that your massage association cannot be one of the top ranking businesses in your area. I also agree that branding your massage business with a good name is definitely the way to go…… …
another key factor asa massage there be businesses to promote health and wellness products while you heal your clients shiatsu, nero muscular, deep massage, Swedish massage, traditional Japanese massage…..

This is a great blog for massage therapy and how to build your business especially promoting your products and service online using websites and blogs could help get the message out faster………….
    thank you very much

Yes. Definitely food for thought since I have been in business for 3 years and still don’t really have a name yet. I had “healing hands” as a website title but stopped when I saw that there was already another healing hands in toronto. hmmmmm

While you do need a good brand name it is also important to put “massage” in your domain name, as it will help your SEO - so potential clients can find you!
